REPORT ON WEBINAR ON HYPERTENSION

Dr. Deepa G participated in an online webinar on “Hypertension” organized jointly by the
Delhi Society for Promotion of Rational Use of Drugs (DSPRUD) and CliniEdge Pvt.
Ltd. on 6 January 2024. The webinar aimed to update healthcare professionals on the latest
advancements in the prevention, diagnosis, and management of hypertension. The session
emphasized the importance of early detection, lifestyle modifications, rational use of
antihypertensive medications, patient counseling, and adherence to current clinical guidelines
for effective disease management. The speakers also highlighted the role of healthcare
professionals in reducing the burden of hypertension and preventing cardiovascular
complications through evidence-based practices. The webinar was accredited by the Delhi
Medical Council, and the participant was awarded one CME credit hour. The programme
enhanced the participant’s knowledge of evidence-based hypertension management,
strengthened understanding of rational drug therapy and patient care, and reinforced the
importance of continuous professional development in clinical practice.
