Event : Personality Development Programme – PERSONA 25

Organized by: Ahalia School of Pharmacy in collaboration with the Indian Pharmaceutical Association, Kerala State Branch, Kerala .

Participants:

The event attracted 400 pharmacy students from various institutions across Kerala.The names of institutions are Dr.Joseph Marthoma Institute of Pharmacy, Crescent College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Moulana College of Pharmacy, St. James College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nirmala College of Pharmacy, Lisie College of Pharmacy, Amrita School of Pharmacy, Nirmala College of Health Sciences, Grace College of Pharmacy, Holy Grace Academy of Pharmacy, MGM College of Pharmacy, Mar Dioscorus College of Pharmacy, College of Pharmaceutical Sciences , Kottayam & Ahalia School of Pharmacy.

Program Structure

The program featured six key sessions aimed at enhancing the participants’ personal and professional development:

DAY 1 – Inaugural Ceremony

The event commenced with a vibrant welcome dance performed by students of the Ahalia School of Pharmacy. Prof. Dr. Sapna Shrikumar, Principal, Ahalia School of Pharmacy opened the ceremony with a welcome address. Mr. P George Vice President, IPA Kerala State Branch delivered the presidential address.

The ceremony was inaugurated by Honourable Prof. Dr. Mohanan Kunnummal, Vice Chancellor, Kerala University of Health Sciences, Thrissur, and Kerala University, Thiruvananthapuram. The Alumni album and the “PHARMASAGA” ASP Newsletter were released. Mrs. Shriya Gopal, Management Trustee, Ahalia International Foundation honoured the Chief Guest with Ponnada and memento. Mr. Rejithan E P B, Vice President, Ahalia Academics gave a felicitation address. The PERSONA’25 program keynote address was delivered as a PowerPoint presentation by Prof. Dr. John Joseph, Secretary, IPA Kerala State Branch. Ms. Jumana K.M Student Representative, IPA-SF, Ahalia School of Pharmacy shared a student’s perspective. The session concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Prof. Dr. Deepu S, HOD of Pharmaceutics & Organizing Secretary of PERSONA ’25.

The inaugural function was concluded with the National Anthem. The Master of Ceremony was Mrs.Anjana K S, Assistant Professor, Ahalia School of Pharmacy.

The day’s first session, “Crafting the Future,” led by Mr. John Joseph, focused on setting personal and professional goals.

DAY 2

Multiple sessions on crucial topics: “Communication for Success”, “Individual and Collective Responsibility for Youngsters” and “Leadership Development” were handled by Dr. Rajeswari R, Mr. M P George, and Mr. Prasad M respectively. The day also featured a visit to a Sculpture Park, enhancing team-building through a treasure hunt and concluding with cultural presentations with Solo songs, Group dances and Group songs. Presenters were from PERSONA’25 participating colleges- Mar Dioscorus College of Pharmacy, Moulana College of Pharmacy, MGM College of Pharmacy, Dr.Joseph Marthoma Institute of Pharmacy, Kottayam Medical college, and Crescent College of Pharmaceutical Sciences.

DAY 3 – Valedictory function

Sessions concentrated on emotional intelligence with Ms. Rajeswari K V and problem-solving skills with Ms. Haritha Nair.

The valedictory function was presided over by Prof. Dr. P. Jayasekhar, president of IPA KSB. Prof. Dr. Sapna Shrikumar, Principal, Ahalia School of Pharmacy, Palakkad presented the report of PERSONA 25. Student Representatives from various colleges make remarks about PERSONA 25. President IPA -KSB Prof. Dr.P. Jayasekhar honoured Prof. Dr. Sapna Shrikumar, Principal of ASP with Ponnada for her immense contribution. The Organising Secretary Prof.Dr. Deepu S HOD was appreciated for his hard work by giving Ponnada by the IPA KSB President. Certificates were distributed to the participants, Volunteers, and Organizers of PERSONA 25. Vote of Thanks was delivered by Prof. Dr. Deepu.S HOD of Pharmaceutics, Ahalia School of Pharmacy, Palakkad. The program ended up with the National Anthem.

Program Summary

The PERSONA 25 Personal Development Program, held from January 31 to February 2, 2025, successfully empowered 400 pharmacy students from across Kerala with essential skills for personal and professional growth.

Program outcomes

Participants learned to articulate, pursue, and communicate their goals effectively. The importance of leadership qualities, personal accountability, and collective responsibility were emphasized. Participants developed self-awareness, emotional intelligence,e and essential interpersonal skills. The program equipped students with critical thinking and decision-making skills to tackle challenges.
