MoU Signing Ceremony and Career Guidance Session in Association with EazyLink Academy
The MoU with EazyLink Academy was initiated by our respected Principal, Prof. Dr. Sapna Shrikumar. Under her guidance and leadership, all necessary arrangements were made to establish this collaboration with the aim of providing valuable career guidance, placement assistance, and enhanced career opportunities for our students.
The programme began with a prayer by the VIII Semester students, followed by welcome address delivered by Ms. Kanaka V S., Placement Coordinator.
Highlights of Career Guidance Session
The career guidance session focused on “Global Career Opportunities and Placement Assistance.”Mr. Sony Akkara served as the resource person and shared valuable insights into interview skills, career planning, international education, and emerging opportunities in the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors.The speaker highlighted the importance of preparing an effective curriculum vitae (CV), developing interview skills, and confidently answering common interview questions such as “Why should we hire you?” and “Where do you see yourself in the next five years?” He also shared his experiences of interacting with candidates during recruitment and emphasized the importance of communication skills, confidence, and acquiring additional competencies beyond pharmacy.
The session introduced students to emerging fields such as biohacking, medical devices, diagnostic services, and business management. The speaker encouraged students to explore interdisciplinary career opportunities and stay updated with advancements in technology and healthcare.
Information was also shared about higher education and career opportunities in countries such as Ireland, Australia, and Germany. The speaker discussed scholarship opportunities, part-time employment options, and the importance of early planning and registration for overseas studies. Dubai was also highlighted as an option for students seeking to combine employment with further education.
Ms. Prathibha, Regional Manager, provided additional guidance on various courses available in different countries, scholarship opportunities, and the expected salary packages associated with different career pathways. Her presentation helped students gain a broader understanding of international education and employment prospects. The session was highly interactive, with Mr. Sony Akkara engaging students through interesting questions and discussions related to the pharmaceutical industry. Mr. Paramesh, Ms. Hima & Ms. Jumana also interacted. The interaction enabled students to clarify their doubts and gain a better understanding of the opportunities available after completing their pharmacy education.

The programme proceeded with the signing of the MoU between Ahalia School of Pharmacy and EazyLink Academy. The MoU was signed by Prof. Dr. Sapna Shrikumar, Principal, Ahalia School of Pharmacy, and Mr. Sony Akkara, representing EazyLink Academy. This collaboration aims to strengthen career guidance, enhance students’ employability skills, and expand placement opportunities.The ceremony was attended by Dr. A Renjith Alex, Cice Principal., Dr. Deepu S , IQAC Coordinator, Dr. Sangeetha J HoD of Pharmacognosy Dept & Mr. H Oliver Arnold, Assoc Professor.
