The Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Ahalia School of Pharmacy, successfully organized the
One-Day National Seminar 2026 on “Innovations in Drug Discovery: From Structural Databases to
Therapeutics” on 19 June 2026 at Punarjani Hall, Ahalia Campus. The seminar brought together
academicians, researchers, healthcare professionals, industry experts, and students to explore recent
advances in drug discovery and pharmaceutical research.
The programme commenced with an Inaugural Ceremony, where Dr. Sapna Shrikumar, Principal
& Convenor, welcomed the gathering and highlighted the importance of innovation and
interdisciplinary research in pharmaceutical sciences. The seminar was inaugurated by Dr. P. Manoj
Kumar, Professor, Lisie College of Pharmacy, Ernakulam, who delivered the inaugural address.
Dr. Gomathi Swaminathan, JSS College of Pharmacy, Ooty, offered the felicitation, while Mr.
Krishna Kumar Kishore, Executive Director, Ahalia Group of Institutions, addressed the
gathering, reaffirming the institution’s commitment to academic excellence and research. Ms.
Sangeetha Jayaraman, Head of the Department of Pharmacognosy, Ahalia School of Pharmacy,
also offered the felicitation, appreciating the significance of the event and extending her best wishes
to the organizers and participants.. The inaugural session concluded with the vote of thanks by Dr. A.
Renjith Alex, Vice Principal & Organizing Secretary.
