Transforming Pharma: High-Impact Startup Opportunities
The programme was organized with the objective of creating awareness among students about innovation, entrepreneurship, and emerging startup opportunities in the pharmaceutical sector.
The programme commenced with registration and gathering of the participants, followed by the inaugural ceremony. The prayer was rendered by the VIII Semester students. Ms. Kanaka V S Placement Cell Coordinator, delivered the welcome speech and formally welcomed the dignitaries, faculty members, and students. Prof. Dr. Sapna Shrikumar Principal, Ahalia School of Pharmacy, delivered the Presidential Address. The programme was inaugurated by Mr. R Sankar, Managing Director, Eroviz Pharma and Co-founder, Naruvidhal Wellness. Dr. A Renjith Alex, Vice Principal and HOD, Pharmaceutical Chemistry felicitated the gathering. The inaugural session concluded with the vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Anupa M Chandran Placement Cell Secretary. Students of semester VI and VIII were precipitated actively.
Highlights of the Session:
The first technical session, Brainstorming Innovation,”focused on exploring innovative ideas in the pharmaceutical sector and identifying opportunities for innovation and entrepreneurship. The session was chaired by Ms. Anitta Antony. The session encouraged students to think creatively and recognize potential areas for developing innovations in the pharmaceutical field. The session highlighted emerging trends in the pharmaceutical industry, the importance of creative thinking, and the development of new products and services to address healthcare needs. The speaker encouraged students to identify real-world problems, think beyond conventional approaches, and transform their ideas into practical and commercially viable solutions. The session also emphasized the role of research and development, teamwork, problem-solving skills, and entrepreneurial thinking in building successful pharmaceutical ventures. The second session, Turning Proposals into Reality,” focused on converting innovative ideas into practical proposals and understanding the various steps involved in transforming ideas into viable ventures. The session highlighted the importance of proper planning, feasibility analysis, resource management, and financial planning in developing successful business proposals. The speaker also discussed identifying market needs, overcoming challenges, and exploring funding opportunities for startups. Students gained valuable insights into developing effective business plans and transforming their innovative ideas into practical entrepreneurial ventures.
