The Toastmasters Orientation Programme was organized to familiarize students with the
objectives and benefits of Toastmasters International and to promote the development of
effective communication and leadership skills. The session began with a welcome
address by Ms. Vismaya M. V, followed by an informative introduction to Toastmasters
International by Ms. Vidya Sanjay, who highlighted its structure, goals, and role in
personal and professional growth. Distinguished speakers Mr. Prathapmohan Nair and Mr.
Safeer Azeez shared practical insights on public speaking, confidence building, and
effective communication. Interactive activities, including impromptu speaking exercises
and leadership-focused discussions, actively engaged participants and encouraged
spontaneous thinking and self-expression. Constructive feedback provided during the
session helped students identify their strengths and areas for improvement. The
programme enhanced participant’s confidence, communication abilities, and leadership
awareness, motivating them to pursue continuous self-development through platforms
such as Toastmasters.
